Dwaravati: Where Opulence and Devotion Embrace Divine Design

“In the sacred words, ‘This home is not mine; it belongs to the divine,’ our client’s vision emerged as our guiding light. Welcome to Dwaravati, nestled in central Kolkata, a 4 BHK haven where opulence and reverence harmoniously coexist. We transformed this divine vision into an architectural masterpiece, and we present it in six distinct vignettes where every corner exudes the essence of Lord Krishna.”

1) Living and Dining Room – A Tribute to Krishna’s Dance of Maha Rasa – The living room embodies Krishna Leela’s Maha Rasa, a moonlit dance of divine frenzy. Designed for gatherings, it stands apart from the mandir. At its core, the sofa invites encirclement, evoking the grand Maha Rasa dance, where Shyam and the milkmaid shared an aesthetic delight under the moonlit sky.

2) Private Living with Deck – Moments of Luxury and Scenic Beauty – This cherished family retreat combines relaxation, entertainment, and cherished moments with modern luxuries. A large-screen TV, premium audio system, and intricately designed columns on a Statuario marble wall create a captivating focal point. The adjoining deck overlooks Victoria Memorial, enhancing the mood and enriching family experiences, harmonizing luxury and scenic beauty.

A fascinating focal point is created by the beautifully sculpted columns on a Statuario marble wall of a Private Living with Deck.

3) Master Bedroom – The Mythical Peacock’s Romantic Abode – The bedroom, a sanctuary for relaxation and romance, draws inspiration from the peacock, rich in symbolism. A symbol of dominance, growth, and pride, peacocks exude allure and dispel negativity. The bed’s headboard, backdrop, and soft furnishings celebrate their magnificence, creating a romantic and opulent aura that resonates with the bird’s splendour.

4) Son’s Room 1 – A Cowherd’s Haven – This room design is inspired by Krishna’s cowherd days in Vrindavan, reflecting his bond with cows and nature. A central cow motif, emerald green and yellow hues, and natural elements create a harmonious ambiance. Combining elegance with a moody vibe, the room features a leaf-inspired headboard and wall painting, capturing Krishna’s essence for our young Govinda.

A central cow pattern, emerald green and yellow tones, and natural themes show Krishna’s love of cows and nature from his Vrindavan cowherd days.

5) Son’s Room 2 – Embracing Divine Simplicity – This room radiates purity and spirituality through a simplified lotus-inspired design. The lotus, symbolizing purity, beauty and detachment, adorns bed headboards and white furniture. The serene white palette with hints of brown, flowing water floor pattern, golden yellow lights, and natural veneer doors create a harmonious ambiance, invoking the lotus’s essence and the tranquil flow of water.

The room’s minimalist lotus-inspired design conveys purity and devotion.

6) Guest Room – A Divine Welcome – “अतिथि देवो भवः” – This adage reveres guests as divine. Inspired by Bankebihari Mandir in Vrindavan, our design features the intricate “Toron” motif on the headboard, wardrobe, and door, creating visual harmony. Wooden panelled walls add elegance, and a four-poster bed enhances luxury. A tribute to our esteemed guests, merging Indian hospitality, culture, and comfort.
